Exponential Moving Average (EMA)
EMAt = α × Pricet + (1 - α) × EMAt-1
where α = 2 / (period + 1)
Exponential Moving Average
The EMA gives more weight to recent prices, making it more responsive to new information while still smoothing out market noise.
Historical Volatility
Standard deviation of logarithmic returns, annualized by √252. Essential for risk management and position sizing.
Momentum (ROC)
Rate of Change measures percentage change over a specified period. Positive = upward momentum; negative = downward.
Relative Strength Index
